About me
Felipe Wurst is a Brooklyn-based music composer/guitarist from Lima, Peru. His interest for learning different musical styles led him to comfortably work doing Pop, Rock, Indie Rock, Acoustic, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Motown and Gospel. His first commercial release in the US, The Soon-Another’s “Autodidact” (a collaboration with music producer Adele Fournet) awarded them the opportunity to showcase their music at the Converse's Rubber Tracks Studios in Brooklyn, giving the band the opportunity to play for industry heavyweights Dev Hynes during the Guitar Center + Converse Get Out Of The Garage competition. Felipe primarily splits his time working as a studio musician and also. As a guitarist, he had the opportunity to back up artists such as Missy Elliot's Road To Stardom winner Jessica Betts, Momenta String Quartet, Mel DeBarge, Jazz Jaus Big Band and Bareto, among others. And also perform at big venues such as Grammercy Theater, Converse Studios, NYU, Apollo Theater, Rockwood Music Hall, among others.
